Sea Kayak in the Archipelago

Besides being one of the most attractive nature areas in Denmark, new sea kayak facilities and a number of different courses and tours has made the South Funen Archipelago to a unique sea kayak destination.

New kayak harbours in Faaborg and Rudkøbing, and kayak trolleys on some of the smaller islands are available for sea kayakers.

As a guide to sea kayakers we have published the Archipelago Map which contains outdoor adventures. The archipelago is a unique area with 55 islands which contains a exciting nature and culture landscape. 

The archipelago is also a breeding area for birds which has made it an international bird protection area. For that reason The Archipelago Map indicates different suggested sea kayak routes of varying length and diffelculty which also protects the breeding birds. The Archipelago Map is free and available at the local tourist offices.
